People who immigrate to the west are often forced to sacrifice deeply important aspects of their culture, religion, or identity to appear more palatable to majority white populations. This film is a tribute to the filmmaker’s dad’s experience with that phenomenon, made in hopes of preserving what he had to sacrifice.
